This wonderful Mid 20th Century Side/Travelling Table is hand made in the traditional design of those used as travelling Tea Tables in the bygone days of the British Raj. It is constructed from Teak which is a traditional hardwood used throughout India for many years. The circular top features a central ornate decorative brass inlay and the outer circular area has a very detailed and intricate hand carved perimeter border. The octagonal base features a decorative motif design typically used within the Mughal empire for screening purposes. The top has a turn stay which means it can be removed and the base can be folded for ease of storage or transportation.
