Pair of Contemporary Spanish Paintings - In the Style of Joan Miró, Signed S. Capella Beltran
Vibrant, playful, and unmistakably European - a striking pair of contemporary abstracts inspired by the Catalan landscape and the legacy of Miró.
Heritage & Craftsmanship
This pair of contemporary Spanish paintings is signed by S. Capella Beltran, a Barcelona‑based artist whose work draws inspiration from the dramatic rock formations of Montserrat, just outside the city. The compositions echo the playful abstraction and symbolic language of Joan Miró, one of Catalonia’s most celebrated modernists.
Originally acquired from a respected gallery in central Barcelona, the works were later professionally framed in the UK, enhancing their presentation and preserving their vibrant surface.
Visual Details
Please examine all photographs carefully for a complete understanding of each item’s condition. These images form a crucial part of our condition report, offering clear insights into the craftsmanship, patina, and quality of each item.
The paintings feature bold, geometric figures in red, blue, green, and yellow, set against a pale ground with black linear accents. Each composition includes a yellow circle - possibly a sun or symbolic motif - and dynamic forms that suggest movement and interaction. The gloss black frames with gilded detail add a crisp, contemporary finish, while the toughened glass ensures durability.
Styling Suggestions
Perfect for a modern interior, gallery wall, or creative workspace, this pair brings colour, energy, and European flair. Hang side by side for visual rhythm, or place in separate rooms to echo a shared aesthetic. Their scale makes them ideal for hallways, stairwells, or boutique settings.
Sustainable Style
Thank you for considering this pair of paintings; choosing contemporary works from independent European artists supports living craftsmanship and keeps unique pieces in circulation. This is both an aesthetic and environmental decision. Without the demand for restoration and conservation, the master craftsmen capable of such traditional skills will become increasingly rare.
